MANAGING SYSTEM INVENTORY
To view ports information
Click System, then click Ports.
Power supplies
Use Power supplies to view the name and status of each power supply on a server. You can also
set alert actions to trigger notification if a power cord is connected or disconnected, a power
supply is added or removed, or a power supply fails.
To view power supply information
Click System, then click Power supplies.
To set alert actions for power supplies
1. Click Configure alert actions: Power supplies.
2. Click the tab of the status type (Informational, OK, Warning, or Critical) you want to set
alerts for.
3. Click the types of alerts you want to send and click Apply.
4. To set general options for an alert type, click Set preferences. This link opens the Alerts
preferences
page.
Power supply management
Use the Power supply management page to view power usage information for the system as a
whole, and for each individual power supply unit. You can also set alert actions to trigger
notification when power usage crosses configured sensor thresholds. Note that these thresholds
are configured in the BMC, and are not configurable by ISM. When power usage crosses sensor
thresholds, events are generated. For power usage, you can set actions for events that have a
status of Critical or OK.
To view power supply management information
Click System, then click Power supply management.
To set alert actions for power usage
1. Click Management, then click Alerts.
2. Click Power supply management.
3. Click the tab of the status type (Critical, Warning, OK, and Informational) you want to set
alerts for

5. If you want to set options for an alert (if applicable), click Apply to save your settings,
then click Set preferences.
