To configure alert actions for disk space, drive failure prediction, or disk drive
changes
1. Click the alert you want to configure.
2. Click the tab of the status type (Critical, Warning, OK, and Informational) you want to set
alerts for.
3. Click the types of alerts you want to send and click Apply.
4. To set general options for an alert type, click Set preferences. This link opens the
Alerts
preferences
page.
To set drive space thresholds
1. Click the drive for which you want to set thresholds.
2. Drag the colored arrows on the indicator bar or type Warning and Critical percent values
in the appropriate boxes.
3. Click Apply.
Notes
Used and available disk space are not updated dynamically. You can refresh them by
clicking Apply or Refresh.
You must have Macromedia* Flash installed to view the thresholds bar. You can
download the Flash player at
www.macromedia.com.
Environment variables
Use the Environment variables page to view a list of environment variables used by the current
system. Information about user environment variables is available for computers running
Windows* 2000, Wndows 2003, or Windows XP. The following columns are displayed:
User—The login name of the user that set the variable.
Variable—User-specific variables that are initialized on startup and used by the operating
system.
Value—The value or text assigned to the variable.
To view environment variable information
Click System, then click Environment variables.
Fans
Intel Server Manager can monitor the speed for cooling fans installed in the computer if the
motherboard and fans support this feature. These can include:
Processor fans for each microprocessor installed on the motherboard
Rear chassis fans
Front chassis fans
