MANAGING SYSTEM INVENTORY
Display—Displays information about the computer's monitor, video adapter and driver,
and supported video resolutions.
Drives—Displays the computer's available and used disk space, and the configured
thresholds that trigger alerts if disk space is running low. The partition, file system,
cylinder, and sector information is also provided for each hard drive, as well as serial
number and
S.M.A.R.T. information, if applicable. Allows alert configuration for drive
changes, drive space, and drive failure prediction.
Environment variables—Displays the variable name, the user of the variable, and the
variable's value.
Fans—Displays status of cooling fans installed in the computer; allows alert configuration
for fans.
Field replaceable units—Displays modules or components of an IPMI system which can
be replaced in its entirety as part of a field service repair operation.
Installed applications—Displays a list of applications installed on the computer with
version, date, filename, size, and path information. Allows alert configuration for
applications being added or removed.
Keyboard and mouse—Displays the type of keyboard and mouse attached to the
computer.
Memory—Displays the computer's available and used memory (physical and virtual),
sockets, and the configured thresholds that trigger alerts if memory is running low. Allows
alert configuration for ECC error detection, virtual memory, and changes to memory
modules.
Modems—Displays the names and types of modems on the system, and the ports they
use.
Motherboard—Displays motherboard manufacturer, model, and serial number, as well
as
system slot information.
Multimedia—Displays information about the computer's multimedia devices.
Network—Displays information about the computer's network adapters and drivers, IP
address
configuration, data statistics, and network connections. Allows alert configuration
for addition or removal of NICs.
Operating system—Displays operating system and version information, startup time,
locale, registered user and organization, and serial number.
OS event log—Displays the operating system logs of events from the selected computer.
Performance—Displays current thresholds for specific parts of the system; lets you
modify thresholds and select performance counters to monitor; allows alert configuration
for performance.
Ports—Displays the port name, IRQ, I/O address, and other information for the
computer's
parallel and serial ports.
Power supplies—Displays the name and status of each power supply on the system.
Processes—Displays a list of processes running on the system, and lets you terminate
most processes.
Sensors—Displays data for discrete and numeric sensors on IPMI systems.
Services—Displays a list of services running on the system, and lets you select a service
to generate an event should the service's status change. Also allows alert configuration.
